22 Feb 2012
The Employment team at Adams & Remers would like to invite employers and human resources professionals to attend our popular series of Breakfast Briefings for 2012.
“Extremely useful”, “very informative”, “valuable and thought provoking”, “very impressed” – these are just some of the comments we received from those who have attended our breakfast briefings.
EMPLOYMENT LAW UPDATE
Thursday 19 April 2012
This session will cover the forthcoming changes in employment legislation which will include the increase of the eligibility requirement for unfair dismissal from one to two years. It will also cover the changes to the fee system for bringing Tribunal Claims and the ability to have ‘protected conversations’ with employees which can remain off the record. Billed as the most radical changes to employment law for decades, April will see some of those changes come into force.
WORKPLACE STRESS AND DEPRESSION
Thursday 21 June 2012
There is a growing awareness of the harmful effects of stress in the workplace, both on the individual and on the organisation if they need to deal with sickness absence. This session will deal with your legal obligations to assess and to control risks from work related stress; how to be alert to signs of stress in employees and at what point you become responsible. We will also look at how to deal with employees who are diagnosed with depression as result of workplace stress.
The sessions are free of charge, and you can sign up for all of them or just pick and choose the ones that suit you. The sessions will run from 08:30 to 10:00am at Trinity House, School Hill, Lewes BN7 2NN, with coffee and pastries provided. There will be an opportunity to discuss any particular issues you are having with your highly experienced team of solicitors. Where else can you gain free advice from a lawyer?
Whilst the session is free, we do ask that you register your attendance in advance. To register please email or call Lisa Osborne on 01273 403355.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
