Legal Director Service Launched
02 Jun 2009
Sussex based Adams & Remers solicitors is offering a new legal director service aimed at firms who want to benefit from the expertise of an in-house lawyer, but without the commitment of employing a full time member of staff.
All firms can benefit from having their legal affairs organised but many don’t make it a priority, choosing instead legal services on a specialist basis as and when required – for example negotiating a lease or making staff redundant.
Robin Illingworth, managing partner at Adams & Remers comments: “There are times when a more generalist solicitor who is experienced at working in-house can help the senior management team of a firm take stock of what lies ahead for the business, to assess how they should identify and handle risk and then to help appoint, as required, the services of a specialist solicitor.”
Mr Illingworth continues: “Decision makers within a business often need a sounding board to give broad advice across a range of issues and to help them fully understand the implications of the decisions they are making. Adams & Remers has teamed up with senior in-house lawyers with more than twenty years' experience gathered working for major blue chip companies who can therefore provide support across a range of business activity.”
John Burchill, one of the in-house lawyers providing this specialist service comments: “Most firms would benefit from a ‘legal healthcheck’ across all areas of the business and to identify what may have been overlooked or to have someone step in where issues are taking up valuable time of the management team. This provides a more cost effective solution to employing an in-house lawyer full time.”
Organisations interested in finding out more about this service and how their business could benefit should contact John Burchill or read the Legal Director service information at this link (pdf).
