Philip joined Adams & Remers in 2007 and has advised on a wide range of commercial property transactions and landlord and tenant matters. These have included large commercial lettings, option agreements and sales with overage provisions.
Philip has particular experience in leasehold enfranchisement matters, and chairs our leasehold enfranchisement focus group. He has acted in the freehold acquisition of dozens of residential blocks, ranging in size from 2 to 30 flats, and involving Leasehold Valuation Tribunal and County Court proceedings. Philip has acted in many statutory lease extensions across London and Sussex for both landlord and tenant.
In 2010 Philip was appointed as a Deputy District Judge and will sit for around 20 days a year in County Courts hearing civil cases on the South Eastern Circuit.
Philip trained at the University of Manchester, University of Sussex and the College of Law, London and achieved the qualifications BA (Hons) English & American Literature, Postgraduate Diploma in Law and in 2004 Solicitor.

- Advised on property aspects of acquisition of group of six pharmacies
- Advised on property aspects of company acquisition by national retailer
- Advised tenant taking leases at Lakeside and Meadowhall Shopping Centres
- Acted for tenant in securing a six-figure lease extension for Central London flat
- Acted for group of lessees with absent landlord in acquiring the freehold of their residential block
