Companies House Restorations

Companies House has the power to strike a company off the register if it fails to meet its statutory duty to lodge various documents on time, such as its annual return or accounts.

The Registrar will send numerous reminders before taking such action, however sometimes a company may be struck off before the owners have the chance to recover assets in the company's name or close bank accounts.

Once a company has been dissolved, if there are assets or monies in the company's name, these will be passed to the Crown and the company, its directors, employees and shareholders will be unable to use them. In these circumstances prompt action needs to be taken to have the company restored to the register if the assets are to be recovered.

Company restorations require the issuing of a court claim, the preparation of witness statements and sometimes a court hearing.

We can issue the court claim for you and serve it on Companies House and the Treasury Solicitor, prepare the supporting documentation and serve a copy of the final Order to restore. We will also ensure that you comply with any requirements that companies House may have for the updating of the public record of the company.
