Nichola is a solicitor in the corporate team and specialises in advising on corporate sales and acquisitions, private equity transactions and management buy-ins and management buy-outs, with a particular interest in the taxation matters that arise in such transactions. She also advises on corporate restructurings, shareholders and partnership agreements, intellectual property, distribution/agency/franchise agreements, and general commercial law matters.

Nichola qualified with LLB Hons Law in 1998, and with a Masters in Taxation in 2008, and has worked for firms of solicitors in Abingdon, Telford and Milton Keynes before joining Adams & Remers in 2008.

Transactions on which Nichola has advised include:

• Advising on the sale of a company specialising in training and training materials for £20 million

• Advising on the acquisition of a yacht and sailing business for £1.85 million

• Advising the management team on a buy out of a telecommunications company for £10 million with the aid of some Venture Capitalist investment

• Advising on the sale of a company specialising in educational materials for circa £4 million

• Advising on the sale of part of a leading marine insurance broker and financial services group to a leasing insurance company
