Douglas joined Adams & Remers in 2006 and has experience of advising on corporate sales and acquisitions, private equity transactions and management buy-outs. He also advises on shareholder and partnership agreements and other joint venture arrangements, corporate governance and general company law.

Douglas also is also a trustee and sits on the board of the Brighton Fringe, the third largest fringe festival in the world.

Transactions on which Douglas has advised include:

• Acted for the shareholders of Woodcote Software Limited on the sale of that company to Dillistone plc, an AIM-listed company

• Acted for the shareholders of Seal Analytical Limited on the sale of that company to Porvair plc

• Acted for a company in the waste management sector on investments from a venture capitalist firm

• Acted on the sale of a fuel distribution business operating throughout Sussex and Kent

• Acted on the sale and purchase of various care and residential homes and pharmacies
