Experience:
Susan joined Adams & Remers in 2008. She initially practiced as a barrister, and requalified as a solicitor in 1986. Susan has specialised since then in private client work, holding senior roles with City based firms and since 1999 as sole principal with her own Kent-based specialist practice which has attracted clients from across the UK.
She is widely recognised as an expert in her field, having broadcast on radio and television and written for a number of publications including The Sunday Times and the Financial Times. She is also an accredited mediator, helping to resolve disputes particularly in relation to family issues. Several times, in recent years, she has been appointed administrator of estates by the Court under provisions of the Supreme Court Act.
Susan has lectured for Central Law Training, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and Solicitors for the Elderly on (among other things) issues relating to mental capacity, undue influence, conflicts of interest and trustee delegation.
